BARBARA LECLAIR DVM

Barbara grew up on a dairy and standardbred racehorse farm in Plainfield, New Hampshire. She graduated from Cornell University in 1979. After spending two years in a mixed animal practice in northern New Hampshire she returned to the Upper Valley and established Riverbend Veterinary Clinic in 1981. As the practice has grown, she has transitioned from treating both small and large animals to primarily treating horses and dairy cows. Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time at her family farm, McNamara Dairy.

CHRIS KLEIN DVM

Chris has been with Riverbend since graduating from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. While she treated both small and large animal patients for nearly 20 years, she now focuses her knowledge and experience on cats and dogs. She particularly enjoys seeing multiple generations of family pets and challenging medicine cases.  When not at work she enjoys running, hiking, biking, bad hockey and competitive activities with her Saluki dogs.

JADENE PATCH DVM

Jadene graduated from Cornell University and joined the practice in 1986.  She excels at working with dairy producers to improve herd health and maximize milk quality and reproductive efficiency.  She also enjoys working with small ruminant producers and horse owners.  When not working at Riverbend, she helps manage her family’s dairy farm in Lebanon, NH.

KATE WHYBROW DVM

Kate grew up in Plainfield, New Hampshire and worked for Outward Bound for many years before attending vet school. After graduating from Cornell University in 2002, she worked at a bovine and a small animal clinic in western New York. Upon moving back to the Upper Valley in 2005, she joined Riverbend where she now works primarily with companion animals and tends to large animal emergency cases. She is involved in various school and community activities with her children and enjoys gardening, hiking and running.

AIMEE SHIELDS DVM

Aimee grew up in western Pennsylvania. She graduated from The Ohio State University and joined Riverbend in 2005. She works with both large and small animals. She particularly enjoys challenging medicine cases and dentistry. When not at work, she enjoys the outdoors, hiking, skiing, kayaking, and spending time with her family as well as working with her menagerie of dogs.

MEGHAN MORRELL, DVM

Meghan is originally from Long Island, NY, and moved to New England to attend veterinary school at Tufts University, graduating with her DVM in 2016. After graduation, she completed a year-long internship in equine medicine and surgery at Vermont Large Animal Clinic in northern Vermont. She is exciting to be working at Riverbend and seeing patients of all shapes and sizes. Her large animal interests include equine dentistry and reproduction, and small animal interests include feline medicine and geriatric care. When not working, Meghan enjoys hiking in the White Mountains as well as time spent with her family and two cats.
